Do you have a guess at the prices for these parts? It needs hammers,
dampers and action felts, key bushings, etc.

The tuning pin torque is very good. They are size is #1. The piano has the
Victorian style plate with a piece of brass about 4mm thick across the pin
block(s). All the screws are slotted-nickel plated- round heads. It’s
surprisingly clean inside for its age. It’s worthy of some photos but, I do
not own a digital camera
yet.

The piano was built in Berlin by Görs & Kallmann in 1907. [This information
was not gleaned from the Pierce Atlas for those paranoid about copyright
infringement.] At that time they were building about 3000 pianos a year. It
appears that new pianos with that name are still being sold, but is is just
one more old name that is being used (abused, IMO) to make an Asian piano
seem more old-world or otherwise appealing....

The special hammers for this type of instrument are still available.
Overdamper felt is also available for those who fear no challenges...
Otherwise it should be fairly straight forward as far as repairs, regulation
and tuning goes. There is nothing really brand specific that I am aware of.
Check tuning pin torque, on these pianos is is often very low, especially
since this one has been around the world and subjected to who knows what
kind of environments.

This piano is a “heirloom,” moved to the USA by the family about a decade
ago. The owners would like to know about its manufacturer-where and when it
was built, etc.-and want some idea about the cost of restoration for casual
use. The finish shows wear but no water marks or extensive veneer
damage-some splintered edges.
It was purchased by her grandparents in the early 1900’s.
