Noah, with the action being held on a cradle. Tilt the action so the backchecks are as close to parallel to the bench as you can get them so you don't get any liquid run off in the action. Try using white vinegar on the old felts. After you apply a healthy amount to each they will just lift off. The vinegar stinks, but it works!
