OK, I guess I shouldn't get so rattled before I see the thing, and who knows, she might call someone else anyhow, though she got my name off the web site......... I'll just hope there is some hope for the thing. Thanks for input. I actually was "required" to rebuild an old Story and Clark once, and the people told me they, afterward, had been going to music stores to see if they could find anything which sounded as good as theirs. It was a marvelous thing, more marvelous than my skills I feared. But I get the idea she doesn't want it rebuilt and I don't think I want to rebuild it........ les -----Original Message----- From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of Leslie Bartlett Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 10:10 PM To: 'Pianotech List' Subject: RE: not too much badmouthing please Greetings, I must be missing something here. Does she want you to tune it for free? No. the only info I really have is that she is getting this "125" year old thing and wants me to tune it. So, I may even be jumping the gun. That is the really cool part of being self-employed; we get to shape our clientele rather than the other way around. I tend to try very hard if it's some person who has virtually no money (another "guess"), and I can't say "no" if it's kind of a charity case. Yea, I'm a bit of a sucker. But YES self employment does have many many perks. les No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG. Version: 7.5.524 / Virus Database: 269.23.5/1398 - Release Date: 04/25/2008 2:31 PM
