Greetings,
  I must be missing something here.  Does she want you to tune it for free? 
                   No. the only info I really have is that she is getting
this "125" year old thing and wants me to tune it.  So, I may even be
jumping the gun.

  That is the really cool part of being self-employed;  we get to shape our
clientele rather than the other way around. 
                   I tend to try very hard if it's some person who has
virtually no money (another "guess"), and I can't say "no" if it's kind of a
charity case.  Yea, I'm a bit of a sucker. But YES self employment does have
many many perks.
