Not the ones I've seen. My customers usually complain of poor repetition
which makes selling the job easier. I just think it means most school
teachers live in an alternate universe.

I guess my point is that if over 100 teachers never had an issue with those
spring loops, it is possible that the Yamaha action is at least modestly
adequate without them.  Of course I was very aware the school district would
never approve replacing them, never.  They hardly wanted to pay for broken
strings, or hammers kids ripped off........
