I carry a small reel-type extension cord and plug it in if the charge
reads below 60% prior to tuning.  Leave it plugged in for the tenor
and treble and it will be juiced more than enough to tune the bass
without the cord in the way.

Try 'outline' mode for the spinner and needle display.
