Nice looking work Jon! What do you use to get such a good, clean cut at the
top when you're finished? Razor blade or what?

Subject: Balance Rail Bushings

I recently replaced a fairly new set of bushings which had too much play
with .060" cloth but that turned out in the end to be a tad too loose too.

Rather than rebush with .070" cloth which has diminished longevity I decided
to use .040" cloth and .030" veneer. Glued the cloth to the veneer(w/ PVC-E)
and installed the inserts (w/ Bolduc glue) with cauls (No hot glue ready at
the moment)

The trial bushing is nice and firm now. When replacing the buttons is not
an option, this seems to be a better course than extra-thick cloth.
