Richard: It works just as well on the front rail pins that are eliptical shaped. It is true that sometimes the inserted balance rail cloth punchings come out but it still takes less time to polish the pins if you just re insert the punchings and keep going. Martin Wisenbaker, RPT Houston, Texas
