String termination question

Yes, by accident when stringing and not getting the string on the pin. You
can do this yourself just by unhitching the string and laying it on the
bridge. It buzzes.

Subject: Re: String termination question

Has anyone brought some piano wire up to pitch on a notched, but un-pinned
bridge cap? Just to see how it sounded and behaved? I'm wondering what
the difference is with the notch termination and pin termination...
