Rick

You can reglue the apron, but you should remove the bass strings first, and make sure the apron is in the right position. You might also want to screw the apron in place.?

Subject: [pianotech] bass bridge apron

List,

I went to tune a Wurly console ca:70's today . Sold by one of our illustrious local retailers.

Bass apron has two substantial splits and is shifting out of place, strings very dead sounding.

Can I move the bass section out of the way and reglue the apron, or should it be replaced?

Thanks,

Rick Ucci/Ucci Piano?
