The jig will now make quick work of gluing up double panels 5 ply Custom maple pinblocks. The plethora of other uses I'm sure will evolve over time but a couple that come to mind may be, gluing on bridge caps without using every steel clamp in the shop or laminating all kinds of stuff or perhaps gluing the bridge to a new soundboard if it's not too long. The deck is 5 ft long & 2 ft wide. The rolling steel table was purchased at a garage sale for 20 bucks. Loved that! The upper deck is heavy gauge steel re-fabricated- from a prior soundboard screw press. The laminated butcher block bed came from the estate of my friend the late Carl Meyer, S.F. bay area piano tech & resident inventor of all kinds of fascinating things. I need to attacch some pneumatic lifts at each of the four corners to hoist the top bed. It's very heavy. Where does one get something like this? I need a travel distance of approx. 2 ft.
