Or maybe I can't see the difference in color.  They're so small and my eyes are getting old.

Howdy again,

OK, I'm back after visiting the Wurlitzer grand (made by Young Chang).  The bushings looked pretty, uh, bushy.  After repinning the worst, I brought the offending pins back home with me.  They look like they're plated, but I cut and filed a couple, and they aren't yellow (brass) inside.  They're the same nickel color on the inside.  What are they?

Using my nifty lighted magnifying glass, I can see that some of the pins are nicked and some have surface scratches where the felt bushing was.

Comments?

I'd like to know what these pins are made of so I can tell the dealer--especially since the warranty of this instrument ran out when Gibson bought Baldwin.  The dealer won't be happy, but I have to hand it to them, they'll make it right.

The worst part about this morning's service call was I had to make a lot of repairs cleaning up after a person who passes himself off as a tuner  I didn't remove the Jiffy leads he added to the keyboard (I was sure surprised to see those!)...but explained to the owner that they would be removed when the rest of the work was done.

Thank you for your comments.
