[pianotech] Insulated Piano Cover

One nice thing about an insulated cover while they are heavier for sure, is
that if they bang (and they do) the piano into the wall or doorway while
moving it, less damage might occur from the added insulation surrounding the
piano.

Terry,

Are you sure you want the insulated cover??? I had one in a college hall,
and it never
was replaced after use. Changed that last year to a vinyl cover (also alll
the way to the floor)
and it now get replaced. Reason - insulated cover was too heavy.

Anyway, I order from Jansen. He makes anything and being in Wisconsin I have

next day turn around. 1 800 benches

Good luck.

Pianotek has the thick, insulated covers ... not sure what exactly you're
looking for, though.

You talking about a very thick cover for better finish protection, or truly
insulated for maximum temperature/Dampp-Chaser effect? (As in all the way to
the floor.)

I have a church that needs an insulated cover for their Hobart Cable GH-52
pint-sized grand - this is a fairly newish piano - I suspect Korean or
Chinese or somesuch. I don't image anyone would have a ready-made cover for
an odd piano like this, so I presume I have to have it custom made - yes? If
so, where is the best place to go? If not, where is the best place to go?
