[pianotech] Cleaning solution

I have a grand piano that I need to clean.  The plate and pin block  
are not dusty, they are dirty!  Can it be cleaned without removing  
strings?  What can I use to clean it that will not damage the  
strings, the pin block, etc.?

Any help will be appreciated.
