He played left field for the Cardinals didn't he?.. This looks like a place where Don Maninno's repining technique might be quicker and safer. The action parts may be too old or fragile to center the jacks in the window by hitting the jacks to bend the center pins, the traditional way. Don's technique puts in the center pin pre bent. Then you turn the center pin before cutting it to the position where the jack is centered. It has been published in the Journal some time ago.
