Folks, Throughout this teapot tempest, I can't help but think of an old non-pc joke about how to keep a xxxxxxxxxxx busy. Answer: Give him a card with "the answer is on the other side" or "see other side" - written on both sides. Look at the winding direction from the point of view of the hitchpin, then look at the winding from the point of view of the tuning/wrest pin. It's the same... The winding direction of the hitch loop is independent of the wrap. -- Conrad
