Never seen that. Sounds like a "tooner" tried to fix it. Just plug the nail hole, and fix. Or the hole is OK. What's up with the guide rail? It should be adjustable. Pw From: "David Weiss" <davidweiss at embarqmail.com> To: <pianotech at ptg.org> Date: 12/04/2009 04:06 PM Subject: [pianotech] stuck damper upstop rail I wanted to adjust the damper upstop rail on a rebuilt M&H AA yesterday. The rail was set too high. I pulled the action and found the upstop rail was nailed in place with 4 nails all driven flush. Anyone ever run into this before?
