[pianotech] Damper Issue???

Hi Bruce,

I used my eyes as well.  I am learning this trade, and I am doing my best to obtain the mechanical mind like so many of you on this list have.

What I do see is the damper rising and falling like it should.  What I don't see is the damper wobbling around in the bushing.

Where should I place my fingers to feel?  I have felt the strings and the damper, but am not exactly sure what I should be feeling, or if me placing my fingers there supresses the problem.

Thank you
Matthew

todd,
Use eyes as well as ears.
What can you see as this happens?
Also feel with your fingers.
