Hi, I'd like to start another thread on the choice of hammers, this time focusing on the molding. I asked this question about a year ago, wanting to know if the density of the different types of molding (eg. Hornbeam, Walnut, Mahoganny, etc..) significantly affected the tone. I know that their densities differ slightly but is that difference significant in the sound. I've installed at least one of each type since then but have found no significant difference except for the color.
