When I was building it I originally wanted a baseboard heater instead, but the radiators were cheap and available, and worked well enough. Probably better, realistically, because the all the air coming up under the panels is the same temperature. With the baseboard heater, it would have been hotter the farther away from the return inlet it got unless I made a distribution tunnel for spreading it along the heater. This was relatively simple, and the whole thing resides behind a big cabinet in the shop. It's next to the outside door, to reduce the likelihood of having stuph stacked in the way when I need to use it. That mostly works...
