Just to show how much movement is in wood take a look at the moisture gauge in my shop. When it was flat I thought I would record it. I marked it every other day and it is still rising. December 10th is the lowest mark and outdoor humidity was at 27%, now the humidity is at 93%. It is nice to see a visual of how much wood can move in such a short time.
