Don,
IMO, with your  type of  radical weather  swings,  you need to install  a
whole lot more Floor length  covers! However, that  will only work with
institutionals, not homes. Homes need to control the  whole room. Under
covers  still  suck. And,  I  wouldn't do the staple thing in the chance
that the piano  would  be moved. I shudder to think  what a "big bubba"
mover would do to that system if he couldn't get easy access to it.
