There are many tricks and tips. A fundamental basic understanding of how the soundboard system is needed and essential so your goal can be reached. Give it a look and then get back to me. I have a question about a Blüthner grand I have. It is an old instrument and I will make a new soundboard In it. This soundboard has cracks in many places. The only serial number is 4843. Parallel stringing ( my English is not so good, sorry) The last years I have repaired soundboards, restringing instruments, installed new dampers, regulate mechanics etc. In a small workshop (where I worked as an apprentice) I was involved in building many fortepiano's. Now I want to make the step to make a new soundboard. Tips and tricks are very welcome, I don't have experience about such kind of things. I don't have any idea about, the costs and the time it's needed.
