We just shipped a grand piano from here (Seattle) to Haines Alaska via the weekly Alaskan Marine Lines barge -- takes about 3 to 5 days to most Alaskan points. The piano had to be crated and completely sealed to prevent moisture damage. Air freight is the safest mode but most Alaska towns don't have air freight terminals.
