Joe,
Why would you want to???!!! The shank of choice is in the Schaff Catalogue under Pallet Rods, which are spinet shanks only longer! Because of the direct nature of the Square Grand action, the need for light hammer shanks is not a consideration. However, the need for properly weighing Hammers is of great consideration. The answer is Ray of Ronsen Hammers. 
Cedar and Mahogany shanks are simply not available and are not needed. The nature of cedar, is that it gets very brittle quickly......as opposed to Maple which maintains it's flexibilty and cellular integrity for a much longer time. Contrary to the opinion of many, Hammer Shank flexibility is a necessary part of the way actions work. IMO, without it, you have an action that is stiff and clunky. (that includes the use of modern materials!
