No way, dude.  They had to have been filed flat many times before.  Half 
the top is totally gone!

I've seen hammers that have been filed off flat, and I completely agree.  
However, take another look - these hammers were probably never filed!  
That's 80 years of heavy use, you can see the grooves.  Nobody to blame 
here except the long line of piano owners.
