Richard, I have no experience with this particular brand or model, but this kind of thing can happen on any piano - it's a screwup. You should let the dealer know, or better still the manufacturer. They will most likely want to see this taken care of. They are part of Pearl River. The action was a total mess, no let off. So I got the action working well enough to tune the piano, put in the strip mute and noticed that the portion of the treble bridge proximal to the speaking length, between notes 88 and about 80 was torn loose, cracking along the bridge pin notching. Piano has a Dammp-Chaser system that the client says he faithfully keeps filled. Anyway, has anyone had any similar problems with the make/model piano? Just curious.
