[pianotech] Bottom Board Material

Baltic Birch has many thin laminations - is that correct? Are the  
inner laminations reasonably hard for good screw holding? That might  
just be a wiener! All else being equal, I'd rather use plywood - just  
seems like that would be the most stable and easiest to work with.
