[pianotech] Mathushek GLUED-in action?

It looks to me that the footings are glued in, not the action.  Are the action brackets metal or wood?  Have you tried pulling it toward you? If it really is glued in, at that age I'd think that glue failure would be easy to achieve. ;-}
