If it doesn't beef up the holding ability, try a second dose of it. I figure that the first dose wicks into the tiny cracks and goes miles in a few seconds. This starves the area right around the tuning pin. But the second dose can't run for miles in a few seconds, because the cracks have been sealed by the first dose, so it stays closer to the pin and helps it hold. Well, that's a theory, but a comforting one. And the second dose often does seem to work better than the first. Susan Kline
