Well everyone I must say this is quite an interesting thread or should i say ball of yarn, since the thread was so long and took so many turns. I want to add one more thing that I didn't make up. I was speaking to a music teacher/piano teacher who is a member of one of the chapters of the PMTA, Music Teachers Association. She went over their organization etc, and I finally said, "I'm sure you own a piano correct." I have two." she replied. Are you workingwith a piano technician?" Yes. "If you don't mind me asking who are is your technician. she replied, "It's someone who lives close to you, and I knew who and I said, "Oh he's a great guy and a big help to me as well. I askedk "Do you know by any chance if he tunes aurally?" I mentiioned the discussion on here. She siad he tunes both, but she likes the aural tunings. Perhaps it was just the past piano techs she used, she wasn't certain but she preferred the aural tunings. Maybe there's some merrit here regarding the post that someone here mentioned that aural tunings might be better. In my opinion, I like what someone here said grasp aural tuning and if you want to use ETD with it go for it.
