Hey Al.

  Heres the full picture. The ribs are a total about 25 mm tall. Half on one side of the board and half on the other. No Beams. On the bottom picture there is an oak perimeter the soundboard is sandwiched between. That rim is screwed to the  plate. No Beams, no, strips no Smoke and mirrors. The plate supports it all. The case is merely furniture that the structure is attached lightly to. The board is crowned between pieces of the belly rail and crowned also along the bridge. Double crowned!
 It is a brilliant design. Expensive too.
