parts, this
is not true as our parts will outlast wood for one and the material is
recyclable. Plus we are helping the environment by not cutting down
trees to make action parts."

Mark,
If you are going to site me, please be accurate. I said your parts are
simply "Replaceable" as opposed to being "Repairable". I said nothing about
being "recyclable". Also, the amount of energy needed to make your parts,
IMO, uses as much resources as if you were making wooden parts. This
"environmentally compatible" stuff is not varifiable, IMO. As for your
parts outlasting wood I made no such comparison. Of course we all know how
long plastics lasts.<G> Yes, your parts are less affected by the
environment. That still does not make them "last longer", that is left to
be seen. IF a part, wood or plastic is damaged, the wood part is
"repairable" far easier than the plastic one. That's my take on it. Would I
use your parts? In certain applications, yes. However, I choose to be a bit
more analytical about where the parts are appropriate. BTW, the problem of
cutting down trees in regards to the "Environment" is due to the fact that
there are just too many people on this spheroid than it should have. This
causes an excess of need on all things including building supplies. What
little is cut for piano parts is just a "blink" compared to the rest.
Sheesh! (More trees fall down/blow down/burn down every year than we use in
a decade of piano parts timber consumption!
Regards,

Joe
