Indeed Joe, I wondered about that too! There is simply no easy way to 
adjust the let-off button.  The use of the pliers with the "cupped" tip 
for gripping capstans would be tricky, as they are quite long and it 
would be difficult to get them in at the right angle.  I must say 
though, that although it is so similar to the D-Type Spring and Loop 
action, it felt better to play, than any D-Type I've dealt with. I 
encounter the D-Type with reasonable frequency as they were popular in 
cheaper small grands made in the UK.
