I can't see the photo, for whatever arbitrary reason, but it sounds like 
a break at the bridge pin??? I got away with one too, way back when. 
Used the original string and loop, and spliced in a section across the 
bridge - two knots. It pulled up just exactly right. Absolute dumb luck, 
and no witnesses to brag at. Too bad it wasn't a winning lottery ticket 
instead. The odds were about the same.
