David,
Out here, in the Wild West , we see that a lot. Here, Bird'seye Maple was
used a lot. All of that sort of wood was considered "junk", that's why it's
on the inside! Go figger! Today,....just break out your retirement Dollars
to buy some of that, even tho it's of a lesser quality. Again, go figger.
