[pianotech] cutting down a MH bridge

I could do that but don't want to put in that much extra work. Since the
bridge is so wide I figure I can modify the doglegs in the cutting down
process more easily than building a new bridge.

I'm trying to figure out if there's a more efficient and accurate way than
just eyeballing a band saw along one of the laminations.

Make a new one. You'll even get the chance to make a better length
progression across the breaks.
