I don't understand not pulling the action either, or doing messy jobs in customer's homes, or habitually not trimming six layers of post replies. You don't pass on tightening the action screws if you do a grand action regulation on the standard piano for the world, do you, if you don't hear clicks? Or do you? This is the time to do it, for the first and probably only time in the piano's life, on that spinet action. Seems like a missed opportunity to firm things up some while you're there, and the mess can be better contained with the action lying on a moving pad if you do the work on site. Ron N
