"Hello all: A square grand is missing the upper part of the muffler/damper
rail assembly - the rail that holds the tabs and the pivots it swings on.
Anyone by a remote chance have such a thing sitting around they'd like to
get rid of?"

Patrick C. Poulson,
I have a couple of them, but it won't do you a darned bit of good!<G>
Usually, the reason those are "missing", is because some real "bright"
fellow restrung the piano and forgot to put it in, before the bass strings
went on!!!<G> Yikes! (said he). Very few of those rails, (btw, it is called
a Celeste Rail or Muffler Rail), can be removed with all the strings on. In
most cases the rails are custom made to match the elliptical curve of each
piano. No two are alike. DAMHIK!<G> Need more info, call.<G>
Best Regards,
Joe
