Each time I hear the "I thought I was the only one" thing, it mystifies 
me. That's backward. This is exactly the sort of stuff this list ought 
to be full of instead of questions so basic anyone charging for their 
time ought to be able to figure out for themselves. Each of us has 
dozens of little tricks, methods, or fundamental approaches to things 
that others could find quite valuable if they knew about it. But then 
that's sometimes what the kindergarten basic questions are good for. I 
learn something from someone's casual remark that has nothing to do with 
the question, and that's the real value. I'll mention something 
occasionally that I figured everyone knew, and am surprised when it's 
news to them. If it had occurred to me that it might not be common 
knowledge, I'd have mentioned it years ago. If we only had a way to tell 
which is which...
