John Formsma said: "I'd like to ask what seems an obvious question. Why can't some of us chip in a few bucks and buy Pianotech from PTG (assuming they own it). Operating costs can't be all that much annually." Hmmm? This is from one of our esteemed PTJ Editors. I would think, since many "articles" and such have been gleaned from this forum, the PTJ Staff would have some knowledge about the running of the system and it's overall value. That seems to be NOT the case. Sigh! What a Giant Cluster&^%$! I really would like to know how so much stupidity got to be so powerful within our Organization?!! John, not aimed at you or the PTJ staff! You guys/gals do a marvelous job in a difficult situation, imo. We do have a World Class Publication. Now, if we could just continue with our World Class, (albeit antiquated), Piano Discussion Platform!????!!! BTW, much thanks for those who have chimed in to bolster the argument for keeping this forum. There's got to be some way to keep it. I will repeat myself in hopes that someone who knows will respond....I suspect that the money spent for HL could be diverted to the hiring of a knowledgable 'puter type or two and still have money left for a few scotches at the end of the Bookkeeping day.<G> That just seems to be the only answer to this dilemma. This forum is beneficial to the entire Piano Industry, not just PTG! We are seeing the forthcoming end to it, (Pianos)if we continue down this stupid path! I don't see the need to "..chip in a few bucks.." when I already pay way too damned much for this. (Don't get me started on the "Dues" situaition.<G>) We should be able to make it work if we can get some leadership in place. (Strange how none of our elected people have said a damned word, don'tcha think?) Disgruntled and Disrespectfully yours, Joe Joe Garrett, R.P.T.
