[pianotech] Protest the loss of PianoTech by responding

As several others have stated, I, too, came to the PTG through this List, having joined it in the late '90s.  In fact, I met and became friends with Newton BEFORE joining PTG after retiring from teaching.  The demise of this List is unnecessary and borderline cruel...but mostly just a stupid move by people who don't use it and can't possibly recognize its value.

Forgive the length of this post...I have another experience to relate.  I do post on HL to the ChapterNewsWire group, as I am the editor of the Chicago Chapter newsletter.  (The old ChapterNewsWire is still working...I'll bet that's history after April Fool's!)  I have successfully uploaded the newsletter to the group on HL but it ALWAYS takes more than one try...it never feels like the steps are the same two months in a row!  The most telling situation is that while in past years (I've been editor for 10 years now) there have been a dozen or so newsletters arriving in my e-mail box, since the HL site was instituted (and highly touted), I now see two, maybe three, occasionally four newsletters...so my fellow editors have departed the HL scene in droves.  (Albeit small droves.)

Too bad.
