Hi Terry, Would a narrow wall tuning tip work? It has for me in situations like that. In the odd spinet the pin is too close to the bearing bar or an adjacent pin, in those situations I use a thin walled tuning tip. with a tip adapter, so I don't have to keep changing the tip.
