John, The Community Concert S&S D is stored in a cabinet with the Dampp-Chaser control with three 50 watt elements. In a rather consistently damp area, it works. If the unit were attached to the piano, there is no guaruntee it would be replugged when returned to the cabinet. As it is, the unit installed in the cabinet occasionally gets unplugged and isn't found 'til time to prepare the piano for a concert. Makes it sluggish, it does.
