Good day! I am Timur Rizayev piano technician of Mahidol University,
Thailand. Also, I maintain and tune the pianos in one studio of
Steinway Artist. There I have sime problems with voicing. It is about
20-years D-Steinway, Hamburg. Over 6 months ago I've installed new
Steinway hammers with hammershanks, shaped and voiced. Resently I
tuned and made correct of voicing. But his claim: he want to listen
rich, harmonic tone, but don't like the more bright sounding sometimes
with buzz tones in the forte playing. If I make more soft hammer felts
by needling, in result more noise part in the soundind. Yes, it is
affect of the used original strings, used original agrafs, degreased
crown of the soundboard. Maybe somebody can suggest me how save the
hamonic tones in the sounding and avoid the buzz sounds in the forte
playing.
Thank you in advance,
 With best hot tropical regards,
