JT: "Speaking of tuning records, do any of you use the PTG tuning records? Do you find that clients apparently don't like them and they're rarely there when you go back? Is it because they are so large?" In my experience, with people I don't see on a regular basis, it is "rogue" technicians who remove them. Btw, I had a similar experience recently. My tuner got inadvertantly set a bit sharp, so I tuned the piano to (approximately) A443, and then realized my mistake. I told the customer, and he wasn't upset; in fact, when he tried playing it, he gave me a strange look and opined that "the piano has never sounded so good," and declined my offer to lower the pitch (I actually tuned it twice to get it good at that pitch...also at the end of a too-long day). Now I wonder if he'll ever let me bring back to 440. Go figure. :-) JeffO
