To achieve a 5.5 ratio I had to move the capstan line 0.50". This was with new dimension Hamburg shanks. Key Weight ratio was 0.63 on average. The original capstans were "right" for feather light hammers. The new capstan line is "right" for full projection weight hammers. Good post by the way. I which I time to respond more fully.
