Hi, Avery, I remember Bill Spurlock mentioning he uses a router with a holder of some kind to do that job. I have not done it myself but I can think of one way but using a board cut to hold the shank with a cutout to allow the cutter to get to the shank. Please be careful because routers are indifferent to what they cut, wood or meat. Newton
