ok. Ed was getting very warm. The problem with this piano was that a=20 joint had failed in the keyframe between the back rail and the crosspiece= =20 which the lever pushes against. It wasn=D5t very loose, but just enough=20 that under pressure it creaked. Since then I have been checking all=20 keyframes more closely. Dennis Johnson St. Olaf College
