Rodents

On the surface, the debris and damage that rodents do to pianos can bring a
chuckle.  One additional word of caution:  those droppings can occasionally be
very dangerous.  Pregnant women should not be exposed to rodent, cat, etc. feces
because of the danger of toxoplasmosis.  (I didn't have to clean the litter box
at home the whole time!)  Before jumping in to tune and/or clean out a piano
that has obvious rodent damage, make sure you are protected as best you can.
Rubber gloves can be a pretty smart precaution.
